hello steve

yes after speaking with some half tracks owners it appear that sometimes there is trouble with reverse gears in gearbox
i found idler reverse gear and shaft, brushing etc...very easily(from a good dealer),but reverse gear is rare.
i have an offer for this gear, new manufacture ,very very good quality at $500.I don't say that the dealer sell it more than value, because it's expensive to made this gear in machining, only thing i say ,it's to expensive for me.
i found an other solution here.
so normally now it's ok
now i am looking for infos about rear storage rack for M3 half track

i like to get an idea of what parts are selling for so i can find the over priced stuff to do research and maybe give people more options.
you should try and get this halftrack in france.
Halftrack located in the running circuit of the french air force abse in Djibouti.
