Title: Mystery part, please help identify

Took this part off years ago. Now I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but the need for this part has not reveled itself yet. I think it must have been part of the floor boards or part of the hood.

that piece bolts to the very bottom edge of the D/S cab armor, it supports your side step
