Anyone else have the rear resistor in stock for tail lights. Also where does it mount on the frame. Thanks
-
The resistor that is mounted in the rear by the driver's side tail light is specifically for trailers that have 6 volt lights. All the halftrack lights are 12 volts with exception of the BO drive light. That resistor is mounted on the firewall or under the dash somewhere.

Is the tail light resistor the same as the blackout resistor?
-
No, it is not the same.

Thanks steve sorted out most of the rear light issues. The front blackout resister I’ve picked up two already and when I take a reading across the resistor I still get 12 volts. What does the blackout resistor actually control. Thanks

Hello from snowy NC,
You'll only drop voltage when you have current flow through the resistor.
You should measure a difference when the lights are turned on.

Thanks. Which lights does it drop the voltage for front or rear.
-
The BO resister on the firewall is for the 6V BO pedestal lights or the single BO light on early fender mounted vehicles if equipped. The resister in the rear by the trailer socket is for the trailer only. It doesn't do anything for the halftrack.
