I’ve asked before but maybe I’ll get some new input. Starting on the vacuum system for brake and have been to two hydraulic shops for fittings from manifold to the check valve and no luck just get a puzzled look. Need the the jic fitting going into the intake edge of mine some how got crushed and can’t find a 1/2 jic to 3/4 tube fitting. This is what I have been able to get so far. Any help would be great. Thanks.

David, I would bring the part to Home Depot and go to their brass piping fittings section and see if you can get a close match. I have done this a few times with my antique German bikes and always managed to get a fitting that worked...

The vacuum fittings used are very similar to gas line fittings. I have found similar fittings at our local ace hardware. They have a good selection of brass fittings. Also some of the unusual bolts and fittings used are an fittings. an stands for army navy standard. commonly used on aircraft. Check with your local airport mechanic, you would be surprised what they can still get.

I had some troubles in that area too, fortunately I have a place called McFadendales near me that has almost everything. It’s been awhile, but I think some of the fittings were similar to “lamp light fittings”, gas fittings, plumbing fittings, and high pressure hydraulic fittings. Most of my troubles were at “made to fit” more modern hydrovac.
