Title: M-2-A-1 rear wall socket location?
Post by: 47lincsled on September 09, 2019, 09:15:14 PM
I picked up a wall socket, cradle and 1919 kit in a trade deal last month and need to know where the socket was mounted? From all the pictures I have looked at it I can tell it wasn't centered, but it is really hard to figure where it should been,I guess I could count bolts but usually the pictures aren't that detailed.
Since I already have 2 air cooled 1919's I'm going to build a fake water cooled out of this kit,I would never have the extra money to buy a 1917 kit or even the reproduction water jackets,so I will be building the whole thing from scratch!

Hope this helps.
Reproduced M2A1 rear armor, late production (ie no skate rail holes).  Message me if you have any questions/requests

Thanks for the pictures! I tried to figure measurements from Hunnicutt's book, but my M-2 doesn't have the bolts around the top of the armor, but assuming the bolts  on the joint were the same as the ones on the top it should be just right! Thanks again.
