Title: FS G102 all exhaust pieces (repro)
Post by: col.halftrack on October 20, 2010, 09:43:46 AM
I have just built my first run of halftrack mufflers. They are real close. I will post photos as soon as I can. They are correct in all dimensions and include the short pipe at the inlet that mates to the exhaust pipe. Price will be $95.00 plus shipping. All others parts are available as well.
 PM me here if interested.

I bought one from him, very nice smooth bends in tubing.  Although i have not mounted mine in the track yet. I need to find some good pictures of the brackets along the frame where it bolts to ,so i can make some new ones. The original ones were torched off

Col Halftrack

Is there any way you list the parts available from the manifold back. I have a complete exaguast system already in good condition
but some one installed a cherry bomb glass pack in line instead of a muffler. I need to see what I need to order to replace it.

Thanks for your time

 Hey guys,
Thanks to all of you who have bought the exhaust system. More or less 25 out there. I am building more and of course the prices will be higher. (steel and shipping mostly). I will hold my price till 15 June then I will have all the new pieces and expect to raise price about 15% to 20%. So if you need exhaust order now.
 Kevin

 Don,
Your system shipped yesterday. My guys in shipping got swamped with incoming freight or it would have left Friday last. We had a long winter and spring has finally arrived so all my customers are making up for lost time causing my shop to be extra busy.
Thanks for your order let me know if it arrives in good order.
You and Steve have kept me going on my tracks with the great posts.
 Kevin

Thanks Kevin ;) I put the engine armor in last night, so I'll wait for the exhaust system before I stick the engine and trans back in.  ;D

Thanks again Don G.

Hey guys I am planning to attend the Louisville MVPA national and will drive. So I am going to take pre-orders for exhaust systems. Almost out of a piece or two and next run will undoubtedly cause a price increase. I will offer the current price less a small discount. So total system for $260.00 delivered to Louisville. Let would save you $16.00 plus approx $60.00 in shipping. Orders must be paid for by 10 May 2014. That way I have time to dial in the numbers for the third run of exhaust.
Just a honest disclaimer: If for some reason I am unable to attend Louisville I will ship the exhaust to you for a nominal shipping charge of $25.00 this is less than half what it usually costs. I am not making alot on these so would not be able to eat all the freight myself.
PM me for address to send payment.
 Thanks
 Keep on halftrackin'

I can tell you the exhaust system is beautiful. It's a tight fit but not to bad to install. A lot easier with the armor off. I would recommend to remove the brackets, it will make it easier to install. Both Steve and I did wrap the muffler with insulation as it's under the passengers seat. On a hot day that will help some!

Again you won't be sorry buying the system!

 Tom,
If you look back on this thread to Nov 2011 Pg.1 there is an itemized list.
I noticed in your signature two tracks neither look to be on the list I am keeping on G503. Can you tell me more about them?
 Hood #, Ord #, Frame #, etc.
Was your M16A1 converted from M3 or M3A1 autocar or diamond t?
 Thanks

Thanks Don…and Kevin.  I saw the list just wanted to double check.  I'll send a a PM with my order info.

As far as my halftrack, it is currently with Ron Leatherman.  I thought he told me he had submitted the information from it, but I guess he didn't.  It was originally an M15A1 (wish I had restored it back that way), but was converted to an M16A1 for Korea.  I am having Ron put an M3A1 bed on it.  The original frame had to be scrapped due to some compromising rust through, but I'm pretty sure he still has the frame number…or might still have the frame sitting at his shop.  I don't know the frame number on the new frame.
