Title: looking for a couple of HT Parts .. BOTH ITEMS SOURCED
Post by: mkoloc on February 11, 2020, 09:10:45 PM
Looking for an original frame mounted  (AC) fuel filter.  This filter sits on the frame by the brake system and the fuel line running down from the fuel shutoff block.

Am also looking for Pedestal Mount headlight bulbs. Need 1 regular and one blackout bulb, 12 volt..original bulbs were Guide.

All and any help,appreciated.

Mark

MV Spares make a very good reproduction, have no complaints so far ( sorry about the rotation of the photo!)

I may have a take off original for you. It will need to be restored. You can get the blackout light bulbs from Ron Fitzpatrick Jeep Parts. They are original 6V bulbs. The pedestal headlight bulb is part number 4411.

Mark,
Yes, halftracks are 12V but the blackout drive light is 6V. That is why there is a resistor in that wiring circuit. The resistor is usually located somewhere around the overflow tank or under the dash. The drive head light on the other hand is 12V and the bulb number I gave you is 4411. Another example is if you tow a trailer the voltage needs to be dropped to 6V as all trailer tail lights are 6V. Ron Fitzpatrick also carries the complete fuel filter assembly and a conversion to paper element.

Thank you Steve  ..that makes sense ...I'll have to look at my wire diagram, missed the resistor in the front, know about the one in the back ..

Thank you for all the help ..have both the filter and rebuilt my bulb using a 6 volt led that I soldered into the old lamp body ... it works beautifully.
