Title: Carb heat shield

So ignore the hideous corrosion and scrap exhaust manifold, is this heat shield an original feature or a later MOD? The vehicle was last used by a farmer who obtained it from the Armed French Police.

A lot smarter people than me will post further, but I’ve never seen a shield originally installed on a halftrack. And I’ve never seen one in the manuals. I do believe the Scout cars had a heat shield.
