Title: M16 floor box door hinges

I’ll admit I’m being lazy by not searching US internet sites but I’m hoping someone has already found a supply of the M16 floor box lid hinges. I’m in need of about 10 to replace broken or missing ones. Any directions appreciated.

Another question, my floor has a section cut out of the lid (circled in red). I suspect the floor is from an M16A1 and it may have something to do with that. If it's not required for the M16 I will weld a patch into it.

Both the cut out on lid and the hole in floor box under quad are suppost to be there..

Are they modifications carried out in the field? They are very roughly done with what appears to be a gas axe and a drill.

I’m confirmed to be visiting NAWS China Lake (CV19 dependant) from Feb to April next year if your still happy for me to drop in and admire your M16s and ask a ton of questions.

Yes field modifications.  The fold lid you can repair to be straight. 
The under quad is option for adding power cable from battery of halftrack to quad also communications box was mounted on top of that hole....field mod..
