Hi all, my M3 frame is going to need a lot of work. I was wondering if there were any decent M3 frame spares or rolling chassis etc. Thanks in advance!!

Contact Steve-0 on this site...he might have an M3 frame....

Let’s see how bad it is. Post some pictures. I know welding on a frame is normally a no no, but if it’s just fixing a nasty spot in a non crucial area (far rear or far front), I’d weld on a new section.

Is welding a frame really a no no? I planned on doing quite a bit of repair to my frame as it’s not good.

There have been several people I know that did weld repairs to their frame. The question becomes how much time and money will it take to fix it vs cost to get another frame?

I see, fortunately for me the decision is easy as I don’t think I’ll ever find a frame in the UK. I’m in the US in Feb so I may look for a rear section from the drive axle back (I could bring something that size back in a works ISO) as a donor.

Let me know if you'll be in the Gettysburg Pennsylvania area during your visit in February.

I’m afraid it’s 3 months in California so a little distance away. I spend 2 to 3 months there each year testing ordnance on the US Navy ranges. There’s some very interesting kit out there but I’ve not seen a Halftrack yet.
There is what I think is a 155mm and a 75mm in the scrap compound. I think have been recovered and as they’ve been there for at least the last 2 years, I guess they will be sold off or put in a museum.
