Title: Name and availability of this part?
Post by: brit plumber on October 19, 2021, 12:57:44 AM
I’m either missing or have sheared some of the ball joints in my throttle levers/rods. Can someone tell me what they are called so I can search for them, or point me in a direction that has them in stock.

The photo isn’t mine, I’ve borrowed the image from the forum.

Thanks in advance.

Try "Spherical Bearings Rod Ends" or "Accelerator ball stud" if you anly need the stud. Best of luck.

I’ve gone for these by Dorman, pt no 115-002. They come in a pack of 5 for £35 so I’ll report back on how they match up. I will likely pop them in the lathe and machine them to as near as the originals as possible.

So they’ve arrived and I’m pretty happy with them.

Left is how they arrived, middle after I put a 7 1/2’ chamfer on one and on the right, the original.

Amazing what a difference just a little chamfer makes! Nice work!
