I'm working on fabricating armor doors and I've run into a snag with the cab lock/door latch bolts. Looking at the photo, the two bolts at the far end of the door handle go all the way through the latch backing plate and are secured by nuts. The one in the middle, circled in red, puzzles me. Where does it go? And how is it terminated? Thanks, DW

That's a short screw that threads into a hole in the plate under the door lock. The screw is only a few threads long.

I made mine from screws that the nuts had sheared the ends off.
