Thanks for sharing! Do you have a drawing of the fuel tank covers?

thats very helpful. thanks.
a friend of mine told me once that he saw a halftrack that had a boat fuel tank under the steel cover. he said it fit very well. having had a few boats i know there tanks can have some unusual profiles and i have been meaning to do a google search for boat fuel tanks to see if i could find something close for those of you who would be interested in something like that.

When I bought my m4 it had a 30 gallon marine tank in the driver's side ammo compartment. Worked well but I wanted the space back plus it was running off of an electric pump. NO GOOD. It ran, but way too hot. Going back to the original mech fuel pump and a repro tank helped the carb and plugs out greatly.

Sorry, no.... I had the original fuel tank covers that were in pretty good shape.  I gave the spare one to guy to use as a template some time ago.

My fuel setup is done by the books and include the frame filter that was added later on.   I never have any issues with vapor lock, etc.... so far so good.
