After a few years of owning a halftrack I've made some progress, admitedly most of the progress was the result of a trade, but progress is progress! ;D
It started with a M16A2 with a truck axle

Swaped the frame and data plate for a restored M2a1 frame and a few other things!

thanks for posting pete.
have you named it yet?
-
Looks like your progress is pretty good.
Keep moving forward.
;D

Thanks! its pretty motivating, I plan on working on it this weekend after the Christmas lights are up.
I've named it Otto, to recognize its local logging history. I got the halftrack from Otto Skyline logging, and all of thier equipment had one word stinceled on it, Otto, I thought it would make a good name.
-
Way to keep after it Pete, start at the bottom and work yor way up. Looking good. ;)

otto
thats a good name. im sure it will make people ask where it came from.
im going to name my second halftrack "firestarter"
all my names seem to be destructive :)

When you're sporting 4 Ma Dueces, you have to be destructive! cool name Steve!

I built some stands today, since I have to work outside in the dirt I had to build some off road heavy duty stands.

They worked, I got the tracks off of my parts frame, and didn't hurt myself

It may not look like real progrees, but it earned me a lot of attaboys from the missus, and attaboys can be redemeed for halftrack time and parts, and it my daughter happy!
-
Pete got news for you buddy, I tried that, didn't work :-[ Seems those attaboy's have no value when it comes to the halftrack ::) But nice job on the tree house though.
