Im curious, why is the canvas bracket not made continuously the same? I assume there was a reason they did it like that? Just for the pulpit?

You can't see it well in the picture, but there is a lip that sticks up about an inch and a half on the piece that goes under the pulpit. I assume that it is to catch any bullets deflected off the windshield armor before they end up deflected into the pulpit.
