I am facing the music and putting up for sell my 1941 winch model M2. I have seen some great restorations being done on halftracks, and I know I do not have the space or time to do this. This is a very complete early M2 that needs a good home. The armor is all original except the top piece of armor on the rear, I have a repro piece there now. The tracks are in very good shape with lots of tread still remaining, they are also dated 1968. The tires were new when I got the M2. I have had the M2 for about 13 years, in that time I have tried to buy the few parts she was missing. The main item she is missing is the skate rail, but I do have a perimeter rail to go on her till you find a skate rail or just make her into a M2A1. I have both gas tanks, seats, gas tank covers, wood for the gas tanks, original top bows, I have a radio rack that I was going to mount were the drivers side ammo box was (the drivers side ammo box is missing, but they are being reproduced), and a list of other parts.
I am selling her for $20,000.
The halftrack is here at my place in Newport, NC, come down and look at her, and let your family spend a day at the beach.
