Found another interesting link about our M2's, Vanaja was a company in Finland which purchased 425 M2 Halftracks from the Finland military, their idea was to convert some of them to field or forest clearing vehicles, and the others were to be turned into lorries by replacing the tracks with a rear axle, 60 ended up as lorries, heres a couple pics of their conversions..
Heres one of their forest clearing halftracks, note the different cab...

And the Vanaja VaWh, a lorrie based on the white M2, all they used from the M2 was the drivetrain, front wheels and the front fenders, the rest was scrapped >:(
