I caught this in an issue of Military Vehicles Magazine last year I think. I contacted the magazine about the photo and it turns out to be one from the Editor, John Adams-Graf. He sent me a larger photo of the halftrack unfortunately there was no information to go with it. So here is the question. What is wrong with this picture?

There are several interesting things about this photo:
Chevron front tires
Std truck rims on the front
No Jerry can brackets or holders
No Mine racks
Drivers side rear view mirror
Fender mounted head lights
Top radiator louver broken
Seems to be painted a very dark color?
Last but not least the Roller / Winch thing
I would love to know where this picture was taken as it seems to be a very early HT...Possibly at Aberdeen?

If you goto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M2_Half_Track_Car you will see in a pic or 2 missing gas can holders and these early front rims.
