Title: rear driveshaft slip joint

Anyone know how to set the slipjoint on the rear driveshaft? There is a threaded collar. Manuals acknowledge it but dont state how to set it

What are you referring to as "set it"?

There is a packing under the nut, tighted the nut enough the packing seals on the shaft.

the threaded collar the locks the front and rear section of the rear driveshaft, do i just tighten that collar nut or is there an adjustment

As torque stated it only holds a dust seal in place. Tighten it snug, but no need to be overly forceful.
***** One important item to note is "phasing". Be sure you've put the driveline back together so that it is "in phase".
