G102 gathering?
« on: April 14, 2020, 10:30:26 PM »
Has there ever been a gathering of HT owners with their machines ? I know trailering is expensive, but what a gas that would be. Some place you could drive them around. A good use of a stimulus check ?

A few years ago Thunder Over Michigan had the largest gathering of halftracks, at least in the US.  There was either 17 or 19 of us there.

So this is a good topic.  A guy here in Wisconsin who has a large amount of halftracks, expressed interest in having a halftrack show and other WWII armor.  Would probably be in the summer.  Probably not this year, but likely next year.

I'd go to that sounds like fun.

Would love to see that...and attend.  Shoot, my halftrack might be restored by then...would be a good goal to set!

Had a gathering at Tower Park several years ago but it wasn’t as big as the ToM meetup:

I would go.  Just let us know well enough in advance to plan for it.

I talked to the gentleman who wanted to hold a show. He still wants to do one this year. The timeline would be pushed back to September likely. I will continue to keep you all posted.

Sounds awesome, I'm in Indiana and would love to bring the M3 if the timeline works out.
