Phil, try heat, use a torch and warm up both ends. The shaft that runs between the bogie arms are tapered. The axle shafts that run through the bogies can give you real fits I had to take 2 of mine out to the machine shop and have them pressed out.

The shafts in the center of the bogie clusters have a tapered end. I use 2 chisels in a horizontal position, one on top and one on the bottom just above and below the shaft. Normally you don't have to pound on the chisels very hard before the arms pop off the taper.

PS if you can't get that to work...come on over some time and you can help me pull some apart on my parts ht's. ;D

Thanks Steve, the two chisel technique did the trick, bogies are off, just have to replace them now, but that's a job for the weekend, provided work doesn't send me off on more travels !
