bumper mounted winch guard reproduction

I finally put together a price for the reproduction winch guards. They are made from a special ductile iron known as "semi steel " due to its toughness (but holes are still easily drilled in it for mounting specifically to your bumper. I did not make them out of steel as the pattern is even more difficult to make and due to the large number of risers needed the castings would have been even more expensive. The price is  $ 584 plus shipping . I have two left right now.

I just want to say that Bud did a fantastic job on these. He spent I'm guessing the last year or so using my original winch guard to make a mold for this. This is a very complex piece to mold due to its shape. This is as close to original as you are going to get. Great job Bud!!

To try and get the price lower for those who want something just cosmetic, I have the pattern at an aluminum foundry right now to see if it can be done in aluminum. A whole set of different casting problems so we'll see.

I've since found out on the White Halftrack Enthusiasts site that Gary' Halftracks has a reproduction for only $ 250. Not sure of the metal type but that is a great price and it wouldn't be proper to not let everyone know.( My raw casting per piece from the foundry was more than that, and not even counting the pattern work.) At least i have one now and it was a lot of fun making it.
