Question on rear storage lids ?
« on: January 28, 2014, 06:19:51 PM »
Making good progress on my M2 bed.
What gauge of steel are the lids made out of ? ? ?    16 ga ??

I am not concerned about the seat cushion placement at this time.
Is there a lip on the lids   1"   ?     1.5"  ?    or is it flat.

Behind the storage lids is a small panel to the rear and a longer panel going up to the cab.
I assume that these are bolted down to the center piece so they can be removed in the future.   BUT, over on the armor side,  does the sheet metal just lay flat up on the armor plate, or is it bolted somehow ??
Thanks, Tom

I just posted this recently but here it is again. It has all your answers on it.

The thickness is somewhere between 11 and 12 gauge sheet metal. Yes, there is a lip on the hinge side, see drawing. Hope this helps.
