Justifing your MV's to the wife.

Here is how I justify one of my MV's to my wife.

With the record snow falls here this year it has been a blessing to have this beast. It plows snow like a tank.

Lots of green "junk" as my wife likes to call it.

It's funny that you mention zombies. Zombies and halftracks come up often in my halftrack searches. The only problem with the halftrack is the open top. Zombies would just come up and over unless you have Patton's halftrack. Even that has some openings you need to watch out for.  ;D

Not a snowstorm, but a hurricane is what changed my Brides look on my collection of military vehicles. During one of the many hurricanes that hit the coast of North Carolina, an oak tree in our back yard was fighting a losing battle against the storm. This oak tree was special because it was in the middle of our patio, and shaded the area. It started to be blown over, it had lost the battle. The bride was heartsick over this. When the eye of the hurricane was passing over us, I ran out side and fired up one of the M37s with winch. I drove over to the tree, hooked the cable up to the trunk, and winched the tree back up. The winds were starting to start back up, so I did not unhook the cable, but turned the M37 off, so it became an anchor for the tree. The tree survived the storm.
Life is good.

I'm very lucky in this aspect, my wife never complains or questions why I want any of my toys,as long as it doesn't come out of the family budget she doesn't care, she'd prefer they aren't in the drive way too, but she has seen just how valuable they can be, my half-track set her mothers modular home, has pulled numerous semi trucks out of the sand and help set my dad's home after the truck got stuck,my yard truck is a 41 GMC CCKW, it makes it so much easier to load vehicles after I've stripped them, plus it helps bring home firewood when the wind blows trees over on the lane!
