I have just disassembled my steering box from my halftrack and there is too much wear to be able to re-use some of the parts, including the steering shaft worm gear, which has large amount of wear and has some chips broken out of the worm itself. The bearings are shot also with too much pitting in the ball races and the balls are also unusable again.
Are there parts available for the early 'T' model steering box or are these parts only available from the halftrack dealers?
