standar main bearings
« on: March 15, 2015, 02:29:57 PM »
Wondering what sources have standard main bearings for a halftrack.  I'm going to replace the rods/mains in my 160AX.  I have the rod bearings, but still need to find a set of standard size main bearings, any leads would be great.  And, has anyone ever changed main bearings with the engine still in the halftrack?  thanks, John Engelke.

Kevin Lockwood may them. Warren Dushane  on the G503 has engine parts. I think. When I was a young pup, we made a pin that fit in the oil hole of the main bearing journal to roll the upper bearing. Kind of looked like a flat tee. Pull the plugs and crank the engine around by hand.
