I found an original NOS surge tank at an auction this spring.
So I had my daughter duplicate the warning exactly as it is on the original tank into a paint mask.
Here is the application process. First I cleaned the tank with some enamel reducer.
Then applied the mask and taped it off for over spray.
I used rustoleum flat white spray paint.
I waited about 1/2 hour for the paint to get real tacky before I started removing the mask.
Sometimes old eyes need a little help. Also an x-acto knife is a must for helping remove the mask.
Finished!
Make sure the paint doesn't completely dry before you remove the mask otherwise it will be very difficult to get it off.
Cost is $15 for each mask plus shipping.
