M16A1 Arctic Cab Heater
« on: May 10, 2016, 10:33:46 AM »
Found this really cool artic cab heater for my Korean War Era M16A1 Halftrack. Missing a few parts I think I can locate or fabricate.
Thinking about installing it as I already have the M45 Quad heater and looking for the power plant heater as well. What do you all think?

Awesome find. Another one of those rare accessories.

Placed the window duct on quickly to check it out as the same tabs that hold the window in the frame hold the defroster.
Looks pretty cool! I think I will attempt to have the passenger side made with the drivers as a pattern.

Question on the hoses..........
They are 3" canvas, wire inside and rope on the outside and appear to be coated in a flame retardant material 1952 era.
Anyone ever see any like this? Looking for a 59" and a 72" piece or longer.

Thank you,
Jim
