M3 top on M2?

Would it be possible to modify an M3 top to fit an M2? How hard would it be and what would be involved?

I guess it all depends on where you shorten it. Also, depends on if the straps will line up with the footman loops. I'm sure the antenna pockets won't line up. I guess it can be done but it's a lot of work. You can get a new top out of Europe for  $2000 shipped. That is a great price.
