Did not block clutch springs. Help!

I removed the engine and started to remove clutch and rear support. It was at that time i checked TM 9-710 and saw i should have blocked the clutch springs BEFORE i removed the engine.  How do i remedy the situation?

If you managed to separate the engine from the transmission completely then carefully remove the clutch from the flywheel (you may want to install some longer bolts in place fore safety). Put the clutch assembly in a press and make a compression tool to fit around the bearing and compress the clutch in the press and put the wood blocks in place.  I'm surprised you got the engine (throw out bearing) to clear the clutch lever in the transmission.

if I remember right, remove the clutch linkage lever off the shaft on the left side of the transmission you will not have to use the blocks
if you don't remove the lever it will not rotate enough without the wood blocks to remove or install

This would explain why mine didn't want to separate easily. In TM 9-1711 it shows them using a massive arbor press to push the plate down and install the blocks.  Page 34.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try and use some wedges since the engine is out and the clutch is still attached.

Ok, i blocked the clutch shaft and removed the 12 bolts and washers. Clutch won't come out per the TM. Am i missing something?

thats not why you install the blocks.
actually if you removed the blocks it would come out only because the pressure plate would push against the flywheel and clutch.
its just rusted or something

but don't remove the blocks... just use a prybar or something to break the bond at the outer edge
