walkway question
« on: August 31, 2017, 04:04:04 PM »
Hi All,
Trying to rebuild my seats/walkway, and have a question?
I was able  to determine that the frontmost and rearmost sections had supports for the floor welded in place.
Is this also the case for the front half door storage door and also the middle floor that's bolted in place over the main cross member? Photos of what I currently have in place.
Thanks
Mark

I think I've answered my own question by looking at the forensic evidence on the middle section floor. It's not as clear for the forward storage door... 8)

Thanks Steve,
You know I've looked at Don's thread so many times.... and should have looked before asking.
I can see the middle section has the support, but I guess I still can't see the front storage door/compartment.
I'll assume that it has the supports as well. Makes sense to me at least.
I'll still need to figure out the sheetmetal that goes over the rear of the pedestal mount too.
All things in due time.... :-)

You may want to check with Outsider. He makes a complete M3, M3A1 floor kit that is very well made. That is what Don used.

I just made a deal on this and should have had it home yesterday but had several problems trying to load so it will be a few more days. I think it has the remains of the section you seek details on I can check for you once I have it here. It still has the front toolbox. This is a Diamond T.
