I have been trying to figure something out here with my paint mixing. I have been using he Korean war style paint with a slight simi gloss look. Paint code od- 2430 and it comes out ok but I noticed a difference from the gal can I mix for the paint gun, and the pre mixed spray can I use for touch ups and small parts. The spray can that comes already mixed from the distributor is a little more glossy and a shade different on the green. Now I like that color better from he spray cans, but I can't figure out why I'm not getting the same results when I mix the same paint code from the gallon can. All I can think of is their using a different thinner then I am, but it doesn't say on the can what they use. I'm using xylen to thin the paint for the gun at 4 to 1 parts. Anyone know what's going on here? What thinner is used in these spray paint premixed cans or what makes then more glossy then the results I'm getting from mixing the same paint my self?
