I’m using .149 “O” ring material cut to fit and superglued which I have done on other projects. .149 is slightly smaller than the original cork (.158?) but is seems to fit perfect with plenty sticking above the surface. The Duralast boxes you see here contained the trans drive shaft seals and the front diff pinion seal. These are cross referenced from other part numbers I found on this website (thank you all!). These seals seem to fit well but are of a different design than the originals and are not as deep as the originals, but this lack of thickness might be a blessing to a guy who has worn or pitted shafts because he can possibly place the seal at a depth that seals on a undamaged part of his shaft. I will let you know if all this works.
