Front driveshaft...which end goes to the front?

OK, I know...stupid question, but, I got to ask.

Which way does the front driveshaft go?
Does the fat end go to the rear, and the thinner shaft to the front?
Or vice versa?

Inquiring minds want to know.

That's not a stupid question at all kk! The slip joint goes on the transfer case end.
