 Did this project ever go any place? Would be interesting in finding out how much they would be. I built two by welding pieces together, they work but are a lot of work.

I think they figured out they could not export weapons componets. Al Stiefel makes them, 530-533-2778 they are very nice. $200 each for the socket or $550 for three, also makes the bracket, don't know the price.
