M2HB feed guide bracket question
« on: December 07, 2020, 04:41:13 PM »
My ammo tray guide bracket has apparently been modified sometime during its life. It's lacking the support for the shells to cross the gap while feeding into the gun. It looks like there are torch marks on each end of the bracket. Would this have been removed to accommodate some other way to support the shells?

Ouch!!  That is similar to the brackets used on the Maxson Quad Mount.  Those feed brackets have a different mouting set up, and if someone was looking too replace a quad bracket, thats just about the location I would pick to cut off a feed bracket to make a replacement piece.  Can't think of any modification that would entail torching off that feed.
