Intake and exhaust manifold

My intake and exhaust manifolds have the typical rust inside and out. I was talking to my local engine shop and they suggested hot dipping them. Has anybody tried this and how was the results. Should I have any concerns with the hot dip damaging the sealing rings? What are the seal rings made from?

If you mean the sealing rings on the two wings for the exhaust manifold, I’m pretty sure they’re made of cast iron. I had to replace mine and picked up some cast piton rings.
