Fair price for a complete grill?
« on: June 10, 2021, 02:53:08 AM »
Hi all, I’m after some help regarding the value of a complete Louvre assembly unrestored take out. He’s asking for offers and I have no idea. I’m not wanting to under or over pay so what’s fair?

It’s located in Europe but m US based estimates would be welcomed as I’m over there for 3 months soon and would look out there anyway.

It has all Louvres and brackets, front strip armour and triangle side armour.

Theres really no set price on stuff like that. You have to weigh the price against how bad you need it, and how likely you are to find another one. I had to make all the louvers and parts for my first half track.

Thanks Jesse, it’s a difficult one, Paul J had a set of Louvres and hinges for $100 so that’s my base. I’ve seen the side armour on line for $15 each. The top and side armour isn’t particularly expensive on its own and I’ve got a repro top beam that I paid £25 for. I’ve not seen the side supports for sale but I have a pair that I could replicate at a reasonable cost.

I’ll also have to consider the shipping and import charges.
