Brakes sticking

Now that the track is running I’m working out the bugs. After driving for about 10 minutes the breakers either take 15 or so seconds to release or they stick and I can hear and feel it driving. All the wheel cylinders where replaced along with brake lines, all hard with just the flexible up front and those are new. I’m running modern hydrovac the cardone one and new master cylinder. Could I have gotten a bad hydrovac. Bought it 2 years ago but track wasn’t running. I think they all rebuilds. Thanks for any info to steer me in the right direction.

I'm thinking it would be easy to check the hydrovac by disconnecting it from the vacuum source and see if the brakes still drag. It is definitely a symptom of a bad hydrovac.

I agree with Monkeypirate. My brakes were dragging a while back and the problem was a sticking piston inside the slave cylinder. It was just enough to let atmospheric pressure into the vacuum chambers and slightly apply the brakes. I'd try removing the vacuum line from the hydrovac and see if the brakes stay released.

The nuts on the front vacuum piston adjust the power push rod protrusion into the power cylinder. If, when the brakes re released, the push rod is too far into the cylinder it will not disconnect from the check valve and brakes will not release.
