Axe handle
« on: July 04, 2021, 04:07:58 AM »
Been shopping for an axe for the halftrack and all the ones I come across have a bend in the handle, so the door hits the handle. What have you guys been using. Thanks

I have found that the ones I have found also have the bend. Even finding wood handles today is getting hard with most being fiberglass. So what I did for mine is shave the handle end down so that it clears the door and then refinish the handle. Once refinished most won't be able to tell you altered the handle.

I had a head only and I got the handle online at Sim Supply. They have a Do It 36" hickory single-bit bent handle that fits the door fine. The item number is 302728.
