Clutch troubles
« on: December 19, 2021, 10:38:09 AM »
’m having troubles with my pressure plate,
It saw it was cracked and when i tighten it to the flywheel it is as of it already engages.
See the distance between the bearing and pressure plate when mounted from underside. Thats why i also didn’t need to put in blocks behind it.
I also have no clutch pedal only a super small amount on the bottom
Did someone have this before? Thanks

Are all the locking rings still intact?

That looks to be a used clutch and it is missing the locking tab. My guess is that it is way out of adjustment. Especially if you tried to use it with the engine running and the tab left out. They will spin internally without the tab in and make a mess.

Lots of green "junk" as my wife likes to call it.

I rebuild the clutch with a new thrust bearing and i removed the lock tab myself.
