Vac booster

Just took the track out for a Christmas ride and about 2 1/2 miles into the trip the brakes started dragging again. Took it off and I can hear fluid sloshing in the diaphragm and where the vacum comes in from the engine that diaphragm is wet. This is the second unit I got from cardone(51-8030) that has failed in less then 10 miles on them. Has anyone else had problems wit their vac boosters or is there something I’m doing wrong. Thanks

I have the latter style hydrovac and it has always been a pain in the ass.  Every 6 months or so I would have to bleed the entire brake system because the fluid would drop and air would get in the lines.  No obvious leaks - Talked to Col Halftrack and he recommended "White Post Restorations" out of Virginia.  They re-sleeve/rebuild - with modern components - from what I understand the NOS rebuild kits don't last long due to everything being dried out/old

My hydrovac is supposed to ship back in a week or so.   I can let you know in a few months how it's holding up.

Yes please let me know how the rebuild holds up. I have an original hydro boost and that hasn’t been installed but I’m sure is all dried out so might go that route later. I cured the more modern vac booster would be better, but after two rebuilt units I’m starting to wonder. At least they warranted this one. If you could pm me and let me know how much the rebuild on the hydro boost was that would be great. Thanks
