How many condensers and where?

Guys, I need some help.
I am NOT an electrical guy. The concept of these condensers is confusing me.
I am trying to put together a 'shielded'-ish set up.
I have the following shielded pieces:
--can and cap for the distributor
--all the shielded braiding
--shielded ignition coil box
--shielded filter box for inside lower firewall
--UNSHIELDED generator, with a condenser attached to the main terminal
--side box mount to the voltage regulator
My question is this: how many condensers do I need?
There is a condenser in the shielded ignition coil box, so do I need the condenser that is connected to the ignition under the dash?
With the condenser inside the ignition coil box, do I need the condenser that is connected to the main terminal on the generator? (as a side note, by putting the shielded covers on the generator posts, I now do not have an easy way to connect the generator condenser).
Can the system work with just the condenser in the ignition coil box?
Sorry for the noob questions, but figured this is the best forum to ask this, and the books are not so clear....
Thanks,
kk

The system will work with one or several condensers connected. I dont know the numbers and where, but study of the manuals should provide that information. Maybe the wiring diagram? They have no affect on the operation of the system. They take out the spikes and static that may interfere with wireless operation. The one condenser that is needed is the one inside the distributor cap. Make sure its a modern, new one. Those condensers dont age well, and NOS condensers are a bad idea.

This all depends on what year you want your halftrack to represent. Early halftracks used shielded ignition to reduce noise for radio use. This type of ignition very few condensers were used. Due to the difficulty in servicing this type of ignition system halftracks were slowly switched to a resistance shielding system. this type uses condensers everywhere. So here is a list for this type of shielding. Generator-1, Starter-1, voltage regulator-2, ignition switch-1, coil-1, radio junction box-1. Hope this helps.

Do you know of a one-stop-shop for those condensers Steve, or somewhere to source them?

I do not have a source. I tried to find a company to put a kit together but no luck. I've been to busy to peruse this further though.
