Good block
« on: February 04, 2024, 02:31:10 PM »
Does anyone have a good serviceable block with no cracks in it? I have done a lot of traveling hunting down a good engine for rebuild.  I'm on my third block, went and had all of them cleaned and checked, and again this one has several cracks in the combustion area going from the valve seats to the cylender. The fix is very expensive and my machinist doesn't even want to do the work. He's scared the pins won't hold in that area. I am way over schedule, and way over budget for this engine rebuild. I have all the parts new and rebuilt for the engine. I just need a good block and head. Please let me know if there is one out there for a decent price. It would go a long way in helping me complete the total rebuild.  Thank you
