Support roller installation question...
« on: October 07, 2024, 08:59:23 PM »
Guys, I have a question.  I can't figure this out (in all honesty, I'm not too bright).
Trying to install my support roller on the drivers side.  I just rebuilt the support roller assembly, with new bearings and gaskets.  I have tightened the bolt on the shaft so that the gap between the mounting holes is EXACTLY what it was when I took the assembly off the top of the crab.
Well, as you can imagine, the two inboard bolts mount up without a problem.  HOWEVER, the two outboard bracket mounting holes are about 1/4" off from the outboard crab installation holes.
I took an old support roller assembly, and it also doesn't line up.
Any thoughts on how I can bet these bracket mounting holes to line up with the crab mounting holes?
Thanks,
kk

If you replaced the bearings, they may not be the same thickness. You may have to reduce the length of the spacer between the bearings. Ive seen this too.
