Plugs for shielded ignition?
« on: December 17, 2024, 07:01:08 PM »
I need to get a set of spark plugs for the shielded ignition system and the new Champion J8C and Autolite 295 plugs look in the pictures to be longer than they used to be. Has anybody got these recently? What's a good alternative that's short enough to run in the shielding?

I have that, Mike. Thanks. When I look up the plugs, they appear to be as long as the standard plugs. I'm gonna order some and see if they're still short or if they changed them since Steve posted that info.

I finally got a set of Champion J8C plugs and they are still the shorter versions. The AC R45S plugs that were in it without the shielding measure 2.470" from the top of the terminal to the bottom of the body and the J8C plugs measure 2.260".
