M3 canvas

Has anyone come across someone besides beachwood who’s doing halftrack canvas. Checked stalman and he doesn’t have any new halftrack canvas in stock. Went that Czech website and did the conversion and it’s a little over 1,200 for a top. A little nervous about doing business overseas though.

I recently had Farrell Fox (Fox Canvas LLC) repair a .50 cover for me and asked him about possibly doing halftrack covers...I'll let you know what he says.

Just a folllow up so far. The fellow in check republic doesn’t do them and I contacted American canvas over in Britain (John and Mary) and they don’t have patterns. Will still keep looking.

Try Jim Clark / Allied Forces Canvas, David. Last week he said he's doing some limited canvas work again. Pretty good backlog already. I have one of his covers on my half-track and it is absolutely top-notch. Shipping then (just a few years ago) was easy and it came in a surprisingly small box. Good luck.    Jon

Hi all,

I’m a long time forum member and continued my late father his canvas business. I reproduce original WW2 canvas. I’m really invested in getting the details right. I’m the fourth generation sailmaker and learned the canvas trade from my dad, he from his etc. At the moment I do Jeep, Dodge, GMC, Federal, Autocar, Chevrolet etc. I also do cushions. For halftrack M3A1 I have an original top in my shop, and I have blueprints! Just ordered a batch of original NOS #12 Crown zippers which I will receive in April. I only use canvas manufactured in the USA. That is the best canvas for our vehicles that one can get!
