Wiring harness ... tilt switch?

I'm in the process of finishing the wiring harness installation. Stupid question, what is the tilt switch?

i had the same question when installing mine.
the fender mounted headlights had a high/low beam. the switch was mounted on the floor below the steering column.
pedestal headlights don't have that so you would need to bypass it.
