transmission top cover

After 3-4 hours yesterday of trying to install top cover with no luck the Transmission that wouldn't shift into 3-4 looks like it is somehow stuck in 4th, The rear yoke will only turn when clutch is depressed. How do I unjam it when I pick it up again on Sunday? this is baffling the hell out of me!

Top Cover finally in place but I am back where I started from. It shifts into 1st, 2nd and Reverse but it wont go into 3-4. After 4 weeks of soaking in Mystery Oil I don't think anything can be seized.  Shifter moves up a tiny bit towards 3rd but Nothing going back towards 4th! I am Major Frustrated, Going Back to the Books and will pick it up again come next week! Still open to suggestions, A Cigarette, A Blindfold, etc!

OK, I found a Collar/3-4 Idler that froze, Evidently the Mystery Oil didn't reach! I soaked with Penetrating Oil and "Massaged" it  with my Small Brass hammer for a couple hours till it was nice and free and then tried it! All Gears are working now, Shifts smooth, And I added the first Gallon of gear Oil and will top off tomorrow! I made Top Cover and Shifter gaskets out of Silicone (Not my neatest work) but if it holds I will live with it! I will try to Yard Drive it towards the end of the week then move on to Windshields and Brakes! Thanks for all the Help and suggestions, This WAS an ordeal!
