Amp meter
« on: October 16, 2026, 11:01:47 AM »
The amp meter on my French gauge cluster I think is broke, needle is stuck all the way on the negative side. Checked to see if it was charging and I’m up at around 13.6-13.7. Have you guys run your tracks for any length of time with a bad amp meter guage. Its gonna be a pain to replace seeing how most of the electrical system goes through it. Thanks

You could easily hook up a Voltmeter under the dash to get you by! If you are running off your battery your Voltage will be below 12V where if your charging system is working correctly it will read 13-14V. It is also a simple hookup, 1 wire to + (usually Ign. Switch) 1 wire to Ground!
